Northwest guard Trevor Hudgins reached a milestonethat no other Bearcat had ever touched in Saturday's 83-57 win over Fort Hays State.
The sophomore out of Manhattan, Kansas recorded the first triple-double in Northwest men's basketball history with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.
He initially hit double digits in assists early in the second half, then with 8:49 remaining in the game, grabbed his 10th rebound of the day on the defensive side and took it straight to the hoop on the other end to reach double figures in points.
Hudgins did all of that in 34 minutes of action without turning the ball over once.
His efforts propelled Northwest to an 18-1 overall record and 8-1 in the MIAA.
The game was never in doubt for the Bearcats, opening an 11-point lead less than eight minutes into the game. Northwest led 47-19 at halftime and never looked back.
Diego Bernard finished with 16 points. Luke Waters also scored 16 points, all coming in the first half.
Northwest is on the road Thursday at Newman in Wichita, Kansas. Game time is 7:30pm with pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 beginning at 7pm.
